Awards Overview

The Australian Drinks Awards recognise, encourage, promote and celebrate excellence in the Australian drinks industry.

First established in 2013, the Awards have become the premier event for honouring achievement and innovation.

Following industry feedback, The Drinks Association has refreshed the judging and entry criteria for the 2018 Australian Drinks Awards.

The new-look Awards will feature 39 awards across three areas of Brand, Supplier and Contribution to Industry.

Drinks companies are no longer required to submit entries for the Brand Awards, with the top 200 brands automatically considered for accolades including Fan Favourite, Most Distinctive Brand and Emerging Brand.

In the Supplier category, Supplier of the Year has been joined by new awards for Most Improved Supplier and Supply Chain Partnership. Winners are determined utilising data results from the industry wide engagement survey conducted by Advantage Australia.

Three Contribution to Industry awards have also been added: the Gender Equity Award, Inclusive & Diverse Workplace Award and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award. These awards reflect the drinks industry's commitment to creating an inclusive and diverse environment that allows it to attract and retain exceptional talent.

One thing that won't be changing is the credible, clear and transparent judging that has made winning at the Australian Drinks Awards so highly regarded.

We look forward to celebrating with the drinks industry on September 13 at the Ivy Ballroom, Sydney.

"I feel extremely humbled to accept this award. Humility is a very big platform at Casella. John Casella has made some incredible achievements globally. What People Say

Women in drinks, was fundraising for ANZGOG’s Save The Box initiative at the AdAs: "I was blown away by the support shown by the industry at the Australian drinks Awards. We raised $10,900, which could literally save the lives of seven women - every $1500 pays for a woman with a gynae cancer to go on a clinical trial for a year."

Jennifer Collins, Chair of Women in drinks

“Hasn’t it been a great night? Congratulations to all the winners! It’s my first Australian drinks Awards as CEO of the drinks association and I’m incredibly proud to be celebrating the achievements of our industry with you. And what an amazing venue we have this year in the ICC.”
